We do have a "Getting Your Bees Approved" section in the Program Overview guide on our website. It focuses mostly on observation hives, however, outdoor hives are less of a concern because you can locate the hive on the outer edges of campus and ensure students are only near the bees when given permission. There are all sorts of websites and supporting docs that discuss safety precautions...including the Edible Schoolyard...HOpe this is helpful.

Hi, our superintendent is extremely concerned about bee safety and stated for that reason "no". I cannot find the "safety guide" anywhere on the website. I was hoping that providing this may assist with our efforts in the future. There are children in our district that are extremely allergic to bees. Any assistance with information regarding this issue would be greatly appreciated. - Angel
