The hive is already assembled. You will need to secure a beekeeper to help you install and manage the bees (see our Bee Mentor guide for more information). You will also need to find someone to install the hive on the wall (this involves a hole to be drilled through a wall for the bees to come/go AND to ensure the hive base is installed properly (it will need to hold 150 lbs). See our Installation Guide for more details. Both of these docs are on our website's Resources tab.

I am interested in applying for the indoor observation hive. I understand we need a local beekeeper and contractor to assemble the hive and assist with taking care of and instructing how to maintain the bees. Do we need to find our own contractor and beekeeper or could you assist with that? Also, does the grant money cover the cost of their services?
